APPROVE REFERENDUM 90: SAFE & HEALTHY YOUTH
[link removed]
Have you heard of the state-wide Referendum No. 90 that's going to be on your ballot in November? Click the above excerpt to read the details on why it's important. But here's the gist: this law will require public schools to teach age-appropriate, inclusive, and comprehensive sex education to K-12 students.

You'd think passing this would be common sense, but the campagin to reject is (un)surprisingly well-funded ([link removed]) . That's why we need your help. Join an upcoming phonebank to call voters to ask them to pass Referendum 90.
Date and Time:
Wednesday, October 7
4 - 6p, OR, 6 - 8p

KCYD WEEKLY PHONEBANKS
This event is last in this newsletter, but I hope not last on your mind! We're taking a one-week break before getting back into it, and we'll be holding phonebanks every single Monday before the election.

In the excitement of all the national news (like WHAT an October surprise), it can be easy to forget that local elections are still where you can make the most difference and effects your life the most. Republicans have gotten really good at winning elections at the state and local levels because Democrats tend to pay more attention to national elections. Let's not make that mistake!

And just a reminder: Rep. Kim Schrier's election is far from decided. We can't assume that she'll be re-elected, especially since the Republicans in the primary had actually got more votes than she did. That's really worrying.
Photo of my cat, who is adorably begging. Not so adorable in person, when her incessant whining gets on my nerves. But she's very cute in this photo :3
This is my cat, and she is definitely begging you to help us phonebank to make sure Democrats and progressives get elected, and not for food.
Even joining just 1 of our weekly phonebanks can make a big difference when we all contribute a little bit. We hope to see you there!
