There may only be 30 days left until the election, but our work doesn’t stop on November 3. The day after Election Day, for us, will be a day to launch brand-new strategies for equality for our transgender siblings.
No matter what the outcome of the election is, our job will be just as important once the next president is selected. If Donald Trump is elected again, we will have four more years of fighting the Discrimination Administration. We will have to put everything we’ve got into making sure he doesn’t succeed in rolling back, cutting, or denying rights to trans people any more than he has in the last four. If Joe Biden is elected, our work to pass the Equality Act skyrockets with full force. Either way, we will continue to push for the end to discrimination in employment, housing, public spaces, healthcare, voting, and every other aspect of every day life. But we can’t do it alone. We need your help.
