During Donald Trump's incoherent and unhinged debate performance, at least one of his policy priorities came across loud and clear: He will strip 20 million Americans of their health care.

Trump's path to overturning the Affordable Care Act isn't just stealing a lifetime appointment for right-wing extremist Judge Amy Coney Barrett -- he's also building a coalition to lobby the Supreme Court. As the LA Times reports: "At the White House's insistence, the Justice Department has joined with several Republican state attorneys general in asking the court to throw out the entire ACA, eliminating the Medicaid expansion and subsidized state insurance exchanges that have enabled millions of lower-income Americans to obtain coverage."

But Biden and the Democrats continue to stand up to Trump's agenda. Biden's plan to lower prescription drug costs and expand premium subsidies for people not covered by group policies is just one of the many reasons why he currently leads in the polls. A plan that expands health care coverage to an additional 25 million Americans is clearly resonating with folks in the midst of a pandemic.

Still -- Trump continues to spew lies about his health care policy, trying to hide the fact that his "plan" starts and ends with repealing the Affordable Care Act. His debate quips included egregious falsehoods like "I'm getting [insulin] for so cheap, it's like water." This fabrication may seem obvious to us, but Trump and the GOP are embarking on a widespread campaign to deceive the public and steer them away from our message. This is just plain dangerous.

We need to do everything we can to halt Trump and the GOP's misinformation war against the ACA. But while their efforts will be largely funded by dark money interests, pharmaceutical companies, and insurance giants, we rely solely on grassroots supporters like you to get our message across. And right now, our funds are low.
