We are currently in one of the worst health and economic crises in American history. More than 200,000 Americans have died, and millions have lost their jobs and have no health insurance or financial stability, because of COVID-19.

While all of this is happening, we’ve seen so many folks lose their homes and their land to raging wildfires on the west coast and one of the worst hurricane seasons on record in the southeast.

We need to take bold action to put people back to work and to address the looming crisis of climate change. That’s why I’m proposing a new Green Stimulus plan—a package of proposals to recover stronger. Will you check out my bold new plan and help spread the word?

My plan will address our current challenges by modernizing transportation and infrastructure in IL-03 and across the country, developing green workforce training programs, and prioritizing green infrastructure projects in underserved communities to confront racial and economic inequity.

John, between the COVID-19 pandemic and the climate crisis, our country is at a crossroads. We need to act now to put people back to work while making the right investments to ensure that we have a clean planet to live on for generations to come.
