We made huge investments to increase Republican voter registration numbers earlier this year and we’ve seen it pay incredible dividends over the summer and in these months leading up to the November election. Here’s the latest breakdown of the over 2.5 million active voters registered in Maricopa County: 885,510 — Republican (35.36%) 807,003 — Other (32.23%) 788,334 — Democrat (31.48%) 23,024 — Libertarian (0.91%) Best of all, Republicans continue to see our numbers surge! Statewide, since April 1, 2020, Republicans have added 55,988 new voters while Democrats have added only 39,946 — a 16,042 margin in our favor. Over that same period, Republicans out-registered Democrats in Maricopa County by about 9,000 new voters. To put all these numbers into perspective, a few months ago Republicans had a registration advantage in Maricopa County of around 80,000. Last month, we saw that advantage spike to over 87,000. Legislative District Tele-Town Halls Last week, the Republican Party of Arizona dialed out to tens of thousands of critically important voters in LD17 and LD21 as part of a series of tele-town halls with our Republican nominees for the Arizona State Legislature. Moderated by Chairwoman Kelli Ward, voters in those districts heard a discussion between her and our Republican nominees on topics like education, tax cuts and policy, criminal justice reform, defending the police, election integrity, and other relevant issues. Joining as speakers on our LD17 tele-town hall were State Senator J.D. Mesnard, State Representative Jeff Weninger, and LD17 GOP nominee Liz Harris. Later that same evening, on our LD21 tele-town hall, callers heard from State Senator Rick Gray, State Representative Kevin Payne, and LD21 GOP nominee Beverly Pingerelli. These calls were specifically targeted to reach thousands of important swing and undecided voters in both LD17 and LD21. Additional tele-town halls have already been scheduled to take place in the coming days and weeks in legislative districts 4, 6, 9, 11, 20, and 28 ahead of the November 3rd election. Important Home Stretch Resources We are now 31 days from Election Day 2020. This election will be won or lost in the trenches. In the end, the better-prepared side that invested more energy and resources and fought harder until the final bell will most likely be crowned the winner. "Defend Your Ballot" Campaign to Enlist Poll Workers: The Republican Party is recruiting people to sign up to be volunteers by directing them to DefendYourBallot.com. We need an army of observers and poll workers to provide vital, real-time information on in-person voting, as well as to monitor the counting of mail-in ballots. Upon enlistment in our Army for Trump, our volunteers will receive training to learn all about the poll-watching process. Loyal volunteers are vital to free and fair elections. Positively Framing the Media Narrative: Chairwoman Kelli Ward appeared on Newsmax TV to speak with former White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer about the importance of Arizona in deciding the outcome of the 2020 election. The interview covered President Trump's margin of victory in 2016 and how he will look to build on that margin in 2020, President Trump and the Republican Party's shared values with the LDS community, and a question about Biden's absence on the campaign trail while President Trump has traveled all over the country. Presidential Debate Watch Party at HQ The Republican Party of Arizona hosted a Presidential Debate Watch Party at our Phoenix headquarters on Tuesday, September 29. Guests cheered on Donald Trump as he demolished Democrat challenger Sleepy Joe Biden. Before the debate, Chairwoman Ward addressed the attendees with a brief update on the state of the 2020 race here in Arizona and special guest Richard Grenell called in with breaking national updates. Chairwoman Ward released the following statement after the debate ended: “Tonight, millions of Americans learned why Joe Biden has been hiding from voters in his basement. Biden is a career politician whose only accomplishments are shipping millions of jobs overseas and raising taxes on hard-working Americans.
