Hi Friend, The Desert National Wildlife Refuge is the largest refuge in the United States. Since its establishment, they have protected 1.6 million acres of abundant wildlife and species. Currently, the Desert National Wildlife Refuge is not permanently protected, and they need our help! The DNWR is home to incredible landscapes and provides habitat protection for desert bighorn sheep. The desert bighorn sheep is native to our desert and was officially designated the state animal of Nevada in 1973! In order to continue the protection of this sacred land and iconic sheep, we must permanently protect it from the threat of military expansion. We can help by contacting Nevada’s representatives in D.C. who have championed for the protection of the DNWR against military expansion, and ask them to continue to pressure Congress until the Refuge has the permanent protection it deserves! Please help make this a reality! For more information, visit: Permanently Protect The Desert National Wildlife Refuge! Thank you for your support!
