It’s one month until Election Day, and there’s bad news coming out of Arizona and Florida: Biden has lost his lead among likely voters in both states.
A Washington Post-ABC News poll released at the end of September reports that 49 percent of Arizona likely voters prefer Trump, while 48 percent back Joe Biden. And in Florida, Trump is beating Biden by 4 points -- earning 51 percent among likely voters over Biden’s 47 percent.
Biden losing his lead in these crucial battleground states is beyond alarming. It means that Trump’s campaign is steadily inching towards victory, as he’s now on track to win two of the most critical swing states that he seized in 2016. And he still has time to profit off a possible October surprise -- whether that’s an uptake in job numbers or rolling out a COVID vaccine.
