"The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace."
- Numbers 6:24-26
Africa & Europe
- Pray for two survivors in Kenya who have been asked to share their stories of surviving police abuse of power with a global news outlet. Pray that their stories will amplify the work being done to end impunity for abusive police. Pray as well for a lawsuit being brought against duty bearers in the government for the deaths of individuals killed by police. IJM is an interested party to the petition, which we hope will help push police officers to uphold human rights.
Latin America
- Join us in celebrating the successful launch of a survivor-lead podcast in Bolivia called "

Sin Verguenza," which means "Without Shame." This week, Proyecto Fenix (Phoenix Project), a group of adult survivors who suffered sexual violence when they were children, launched one of their first initiatives to reach other survivors and generate change in their community. On their first episode, they talk with experts about the need to speak up and bring these cases to court, as well as the importance of receiving therapy. Pray for the survivors and experts who will be participating in this digital initiative, and pray that many others who are currently experiencing violence will hear the podcast and find the strength to break their silence.
South Asia
- Please pray for a new empowerment group we are creating for survivors of sex trafficking in one major city. This new group will help connect survivors to each other so they can build friendships and find encouragement in one another's triumphs. It will also help IJM provide trainings on public speaking, goal-setting and advocacy for young women who want to raise their voices and share their stories. Please pray for the IJM staff coordinating this group and for strong connections between the first few survivors taking part.
Southeast Asia
- We are praising God for our partnership with Consuelo Foundation in the Philippines. During the pandemic, IJM collaborated with Consuelo Foundation to assist 166 families of survivors of online sexual exploitation of children. This assistance was designed to meet everyday needs of survivors by covering necessities like groceries and medicine. One of the recipients of the assistance wrote a letter of thanks: "The financial support you've given us greatly eased our day-to-day worries. You did not leave us without hope but instead encouraged us to move forward in life. You are an inspiration because you haven't forgotten us."
IJM HQ & Global Partners
IJM headquarters is located in the United States. IJM has
international advancement offices in Australia, Canada, Germany, the
Netherlands and the United Kingdom.
- Praise God for each and every person who responded to our September Freedom Partner campaign last month. We are overwhelmed by the generosity and trust in our work shown by supporters who became monthly donors or gave one-time gifts. Most notably, we're struck by the unprecedented number of existing Freedom Partners who deepened their commitment by increasing their monthly gifts. Praise God for this provision and for all of the partners who walk alongside us to protect people in poverty from violence.
