The News & Observer Editorial Board is well known for their thoughtful endorsements during election cycles. The editorial board takes much into consideration such as experience, expertise, and voting records before making nonpartisan recommendations. 

I’m proud to share that the N&O Editorial Board has strongly recommended me to be the next North Carolina Labor Commissioner. Here’s what they had to say:

“. . . [my opponent] is unlikely to lead a strong shift toward workers’ rights. The Democrat, Jessica Holmes, will. The Wake County commissioner is a workers’ rights advocate with a keen sense of social justice.

Holmes could also become the first Black woman elected to a statewide executive branch office in North Carolina, also a welcome change. We strongly recommend Jessica Holmes.”
