It's hard to believe we're about a month away from elections. The work we put in these next few weeks is absolutely crucial, not just to preserve the integrity of our Democracy at the national level, but to sow the seeds of progressive change at the local level.

We invite you to volunteer for some of our endorsed candidates:

Stephanie Dominguez Walton for Oakland City District 1
- Thursdays 5:00 PM - 6:30 PM
- Saturdays 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM
Terry Taplin for Berkeley City Council, District 2
- Sundays at 2:00 PM
- Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday at 5:30 PM

We also hope you'll continue to join our general EBYD meetings, now scheduled for 6:00 PM.

One more relevant happening: although not a volunteer opportunity, we highly encourage our membership to attend a virtual chat between Congresswoman Barbara Lee and the one and only Whoopi Goldberg. They will be chatting about about this pivotal election and general representation at 12:00 PM this Sunday, Oct. 4th. We hope you'll join us at some of these events, and please don't hesitate to reach out for questions about further volunteer opportunities or general engagement.

- In-person: Nov. 3

Absentee ballot deadlines
- Request: Oct. 27
- Return by mail: Postmarked by Nov. 3
- Return in person: Nov. 3 by 8:00 p.m

Early Voting
- Request: Oct. 5 - Nov. 2. Dates and hours may vary based on where you live.

Mail Ballots Drop:
- Tomorrow! Saturday Oct 3rd, so be on the look out!
