I need your help!

Four years ago, I had the honor of you electing me the Mayor of the great city of Aurora. As you may have heard, I have announced that I am running for a second term to serve as your Mayor! But there is much work to be done, and as I said, I need your help!

Volunteers have already started helping us gather petition signatures. Please join us this Saturday, October 3, 2020 at 9am at the Spartan House Eatery located at 1032 Prairie Street, to assist in our continued effort to gather signatures. If you cannot attend October 3, but would still like to assist the team in gathering signatures on your own from friends, family, work associates, or others, please contact us at [email protected] (mailto:[email protected]) and we will have petitions hand delivered to you immediately or click Re-Elect Mayor Richard C. Irvin ([link removed]) and download them from home!

We will continue to have petition drives throughout the month of October, including our official Petition Drive Kick-Off on Saturday, October 10, 2020 at 9am at Spartan House Eatery located at 1032 Prairie Street. Additional petition drive dates will be announced and emailed in the coming days.

Please be assured that all Covid-19 guidelines are being adhered to as we work to gather signatures.

The petition gathering process is the first major step in getting on the April 6, 2021 ballot so that we can continue the great progress that we’ve achieved over the last four years.

As you may know, I will have, at least, two opponents in the upcoming April Mayoral Election. In order to continue to serve the great people of Aurora, we must work hard, get our message out, and campaign on the amazing progress and strides we’ve made in Aurora. To be successful in this endeavor it will take a very strong and dedicated grass roots organization. With petitions to be signed, brochures, flyers, and yard signs to deliver, and the entire city to canvas, I cannot do this alone. I am turning to the people who have known me the longest, who know me best, and humbly invite you to get involved in my campaign and help make a difference.

Aurora is our home, and a city I have called home my entire life. This job is personal to me. Making our city a better place for our kids, and for Aurora families, is personal to me. I call on all of you to join our team so that we can continue to watch Aurora thrive together!
