Climate change intersects with health & racial justice in many ways.

The President’s recent diagnosis makes clear the need for us to address our national healthcare policy. Many forget that the same industrial harms to the environment that contributed to COVID-19 and zoonotic disease transmission have also played a key role in driving climate change.

That’s one reason that scientists are predicting more pandemics as the climate shifts.

Join Shahid this Saturday at 5pm PT for a discussion about climate justice, featuring indigenous pipeline fighter Joye Braun, and climate scientist Peter Kalmus, who recently wrote a compelling op-ed in the Los Angeles Times.

This panel, moderated by former TYT executive producer Gina Kim, will discuss important ideas like nationalizing the fossil fuel industry, how decolonization relates to energy and climate policy, and the intersectionality of climate, health and racial justice.

We need real leadership in Congress to secure solutions to the impending climate apocalypse. The survival of humanity is at stake. We all share an interest in getting this right.
