Democrat,

Governor Murphy announced this week that he has officially filed the necessary paperwork to begin their 2021 re-election campaign. While this is largely a procedural step at this point and most campaign activities will not begin until later this year, it is nonetheless a very exciting time and I'm as proud as ever to support Governor Murphy and Lt. Governor Sheila Oliver.

Of course, we have an election happening right now that we are laser focused on. With the first debate behind us, Joe Biden and Kamala Harris are in as strong a position as they have been in throughout this race. However, we know that we can't ever get complacent. We have to give this 100% and make sure that we do everything we can to win this race, as well as to elect Democrats up and down the ballot. So do what you can -- if you have received your Vote by Mail ballot, return it soon and lock in your vote. If you're not registered to vote or know someone who needs to register, visit the state's Online Voter Registration page before the deadline on October 13. If you can spare some time, find out how to volunteer for campaigns at all levels on our Volunteer Hub. And if you can make a small donation, do it now to make sure we have the resources we need to win this election.

With Roe v. Wade potentially hanging in the balance as Republicans plot to rush through a Senate confirmation that would create a 6-3 conservative majority on the Supreme Court, Governor Murphy is taking action to protect a woman's right to choose here in New Jersey. Today, the Governor announced his support for the Reproductive Freedom Act, legislation that would codify the protections of Roe v. Wade into state law. Watch the event announcing this monumental step here.
