Lizzie Pannill Fletcher for CongressThis news is unsettling: Gov. Greg Abbott issued an executive order to close mail-in ballot drop-off sites across Texas, limiting each county to only one ballot drop-off site.

Harris County has more than 4.7 million residents -- the largest county in Texas and the third largest in the entire country. We had 12 ballot drop-off sites. Now, we only have one.

In the wake of the pandemic and operational changes at the Postal Service, the ballot drop-off sites ensured that all Texas voters can safely exercise their right to vote and that it would be returned in time to be counted for November. Gov. Abbott's order threatens to disenfranchise Texans across the state.

Let's call this what it is: this is voter suppression in action.

We need to act fast to fight back. If you can, chip in to help us get the word out to voters →

Washington Republicans know Lizzie and Democrats have what it takes to turn Texas blue this November and it's clear they're scared. They're willing to use any means necessary to win -- even if it means suppressing our fundamental right to vote.

We will fight back, but it requires resources -- can you help us raise $25,000 by Sunday?

Talk soon,

Molly
