Now, let's catch up.

combating human trafficking

Human trafficking is a scourge on our country, especially in Texas. I've met with survivors personally and have held a human trafficking summit in Houston to discuss solutions to combat this evil. It is a top priority for me in Congress.

That is why I am proud that the House unanimously passed my bipartisan bill to enhance the Blue Campaign - an effective public awareness tool that partners the government with the private sector to root out human trafficking.

It is one small step to help us rid our communities of human trafficking and crack down on the bad actors who carry out this heinous crime.

learn more about direct primary care

Direct Primary Care is the future of personalized health care.

It’s simple: an affordable monthly fee for a primary-care doctor, without extra charges for visits or third-party insurance.

In a new episode of my podcast, I talk to experts about my plan - the Direct Primary Care for America Act - to expand this successful model. Click here to learn more about my bill.

what happens when you defund the police?

Democrats in major cities rapidly turned the radical slogan of “defund the police” into actual policy. One of the first cities to do so was Minneapolis. Now, local leaders there and are surprised by the backlash of their citizens who just want safety in their communities.

According to recent reports, residents of Minneapolis' Southside are voicing "concerns about rising crime in the area and frustration with the city's response to the ongoing civil unrest." This is playing out in Democrat-led cities across the country, including those where leaders have advocated for defunding police departments.

Less police means more crime. It’s that simple.
