Dear Law Students,
Speak Out for Farmed Animals Week
Join the Animal Legal Defense Fund for a virtual week of action for farmed animals on October 25-31! Speak Out for Farmed Animals Week is a yearly event dedicated to raising public awareness nationwide about the lack of meaningful laws that protect farmed animals from cruel treatment. Host a virtual guest speaker, screen a film online, or watch an Animal Law Academy webinar and host a discussion afterwards with your chapter.
Remote Clerkships
We are hiring remote clerks for this academic year and next summer! Semester clerkships are part-time (5 to 10 hours a week) and summer clerkships are full-time (35 hours a week).
Legislative Affairs Program Clerkship (Fall 2020/Spring 2021)
Litigation Program Clerkship (Summer 2021)
Animal Law Conference and Student Convention Registration
Register now for the Animal Law Conference: Impacts on Animals in a Changing Climate. The conference is presented by the Animal Legal Defense Fund and the Center for Animal Law Studies at Lewis & Clark Law School.
You also won’t want to miss the Student Convention! This two-day virtual event will provide an opportunity for law students to receive career advice from leaders in the animal law field, hear from student scholars on their animal law work, and network with law students from schools across the country. This event is open to current law students only.
Student chapters can apply for registration grants for the Animal Law Conference and Student Convention.
