And right now, numerous LGBTQ candidates are under attack from dark money groups and anti-equality forces. Houston City Councilmember Robert Gallegos had his campaign signs defaced. And last week, news broke that the NRA made their largest-ever donation to a Virginia political fund - $200,000 - to the Virginia Majority Leader’s PAC. Opponents now have an extra $200,000 to attack our LGBTQ incumbents: like Spotlight candidate Danica Roem, who’s on-track to be one of the first trans women ever reelected in the United States, and Adam Ebbin, the only openly LGBTQ member of the Virginia State Senate and more.

But despite these attacks, our candidates continue campaigning. From Albuquerque, New Mexico to my home state of Pennsylvania, they’re working hard to ensure we create a new Rainbow Wave on Election Day.
