Mail-in ballots are expected to go out to voters any day now here in Pennsylvania.
All eligible voters who requested a ballot will be sent the following:
-
Their ballot
-
A secrecy envelope to place their ballot inside once complete
-
An outer envelope that voters will need to date, sign, and put the secrecy envelope inside of before sending to their county’s board of elections
Our state’s Supreme Court has ruled that if an eligible voter does not place their ballot inside the secrecy envelope, it will be considered a "naked ballot" -- and it won’t be counted.
This simple mistake could lead to 100,000 voters being disenfranchised in this November’s election.
That’s why my field team and our volunteers are calling THOUSANDS of voters every single day to make sure they have the information they need to ensure that their vote counts.
With this new ruling, it’s critical that we ensure every voter in southeast Pennsylvania knows how to vote by mail -- and with one month until the election, I need you to help us bolster our infrastructure in the field.
We need to invest no less than $12,800 more into our field program to increase our capacity by next week. Will you pitch in $5, $10, $25, or whatever you can before midnight to help us meet our goal?
Thank you for your support, today and always.
