What Are Red Flag Laws?
Congress returns to Washington, D.C., this week and gun control legislation will be one of the items they are facing pressure to tackle. The media has reported that “red flag” laws could be something Congress would consider. So what are these laws? What do they accomplish that existing laws don’t already do? And what concerns should law-abiding Americans have about them? Communities Play a Vital Role in Hurricane Relief
Hurricane Dorian devastated the Bahamas last week and the Carolina’s are picking up the pieces after being hit with dangerous coastal flooding and 95 mph winds. In the years since Hurricane Katrina, we have learned a great deal about responding to - and recovering from - disasters. And time and time again, we have seen the importance of community responses. “The first 72 hours after a disaster are the most critical, and the most effective responses during this period come from those closest to the scene,” write Heritage experts. “Faith-based and community organizations play vital roles because of their proximity and the relationships that they have already established before the disaster.” Learn more about harnessing the capacities of communities after disasters.

Taking Back America’s Colleges From the Radical Left
