Coronavirus has shown us so much that needs to change. But our response has shown how much we can change. My vision is a world where each and everyone of us have a roof over our heads, healthy food on our table and a future to look forward to. Where people and planet are valued, not the profit they can generate. But to get there, we need to work together. Progress is a group effort and the issues we are facing demand that we collaborate.
When we work together, our common ground becomes our path to progress. This is how we turn ideas into action, and action into lasting systems change. This summer, Caroline Lucas MP and a group of cross-party MPs have been working on a project called Reset. They have joined forces to reimagine and reshape everyday life in Britain.
That is what I try to do on a local level in Lambeth, and I know that hundreds of elected green councillors up and down the country are doing the same. We are building common ground, not battlegrounds -- to make better happen faster. We need as many people on board as possible. We’re inviting everyone to become a Green Friend. Are you part of the movement that puts people and the planet at the centre?
