John,

Churches and religious charities are pressured and even forced to disregard their faith.

The right to hire individuals who share a church or a charity's faith is one of the most important rights a religious organization possesses. Employees implement the aim of any organization, so it is particularly important that a faith-based organization's right to hire like-minded people not be infringed.

Federal law protects these rights, but many times these critical conscience protections are ignored or unenforced.

At the ACLJ, we've fought these cases in court and won. We constantly defend churches and religious charities.

Now, the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) has proposed a new pro-religious liberty rule that would protect churches and religious charities from being forced to hire outside their faith. We're filing legal comments in support of this rule with DOL.

Without these protections, your church could be targeted. We need you to take action with us.
