John —
Robert DuBoise was exonerated on Sept. 14, after spending nearly 37 years in prison for the rape and murder of a Florida woman — a crime he didn’t commit. His conviction was overturned based on new DNA evidence that excluded him as the assailant.
Robert “never lost faith” that this day would come.

“To walk out of this nightmare and hug my mother and sister after almost four decades, knowing I was innocent, is bittersweet,” he added. “I can never regain the birthdays, holidays, and precious time I lost with them, nevermind the life I could have made for myself. I am grateful to be here, now with a chance to move forward, but I know there are more innocent people like me still behind bars.”
Now, Robert must rebuild his life after our criminal legal system stole 37 years from him — let’s help.
Can you donate to Robert’s personal fundraising page to make sure he has what he needs to stay safe and healthy during this time? ([link removed])
