This is a longer note from our team about the special interests trying to buy this election for Ann Wagner by airing misleading, sexist ads against Jill. We hope you read all of it, but if you don’t have time (that’s okay!), please consider making a contribution to help us fight back and send Jill to Congress →

Hey there,

We just got some very concerning news: A national Republican super PAC -- whose sole focus is to send more dedicated allies of Mitch McConnell to Congress -- just launched a new $700,000 investment in our district, all aimed at distorting and diminishing Jill’s hard-fought and hard-earned record.

This massive investment means we’re being drowned out on the airwaves right now, so we’re setting up a Rapid Response Fund to fight back against their special interest influence and defend Jill’s record of standing up for Missourians.

We need to raise $50,000 in the next 48 hours to make sure we have the resources needed to increase our voter outreach efforts and fight back against these misleading -- and not to mention sexist -- attacks against Jill. We have no time to waste. Can you chip in any amount right now to help us meet this goal?

Wagner's special interest backers have resorted time and again to lying to and misleading voters in order to keep their ally in Congress. This time, they're going so far as to say that "Jill Schupp is inflating her resume," to smear Jill’s bipartisan record of getting things done in her community.

This line of attack is unfortunately not new for women in elected office. Jill has been serving her community for nearly two decades, and has passed measures in the Missouri state legislature to end surprise billing in emergency rooms, ensure hospitals can provide rape kits to survivors of sexual assault, and make sure daycare centers are safer for our children (just to name a few). The dark money backers and architects of this ad are trying to discount her successes and discredit her efforts.

Look, the other side is running scared, and this latest influx of cash is even more proof. Despite millions pouring into our district from Ann Wagner’s allies in Washington, our people-powered campaign has been able to make this historically Republican seat a pure TOSS UP.

Now, we’re counting on you to help us step up our game in the final 33 days of the race by helping us meet this Rapid Response Goal. Any amount you can chip in now will make a huge difference in our ability to fight back and flip this seat blue.

"Wishing you good health and the ability to stay safe during this unprecedented and challenging time. I know I am not alone when I say, our hearts go out to the people who are doing the hard work of caring for us: in the hospitals, in our stores, by delivering our mail, providing care and being there for emergencies. This is a time where we stand together by staying apart, and work together for good outcomes for today and the future." -Jill
