First, I want to thank you. Last night, we not only met, but surpassed our
$85,000 end of quarter fundraising goal. Whether you chipped in this month
or took action in another way, I’m so grateful for your support.
But our work isn’t done. Earlier this week, I endorsed five of my
colleagues in Congress for re-election on November 3rd: I’m so proud to
support Senator Tina Smith, and Representatives Katie Porter, Deb Haaland,
Robin Kelly, and Ted Lieu in their runs for re-election.
This upcoming election will be one of the most important in our lifetimes,
and it’s so critical that — in addition to taking back the White House —
we flip the Senate and grow our Democratic majority in the House.
Supporting these five change-making incumbents will help us do exactly
that.

between these five leaders right now to help them win re-election on
November 3rd?

Since she was sworn-in to the U.S. Senate in 2018, Tina Smith has been a
strong advocate for the people of Minnesota. One of the first bills I
introduced in Congress was a workers’ rights bill that I partnered with
Tina on. She has been a leading voice in critical fights to ensure access
to safe and affordable housing, expand opportunities for students and
young people entering the workforce, prevent isolation for our elders, and
strengthen protections for workers.
Congresswoman Haaland is a dear friend and colleague. Since her
history-making election to the House of Representatives in 2018, she has
championed progressive priorities and she has been a fierce advocate for
the people of New Mexico’s first district. As one of the first two Native
American women ever elected to Congress, her leadership has given new
voice to a community that has been left out and left behind for too long.
For the past two years, Katie Porter has brought her experience as an
educator and consumer advocate to the halls of Congress. Time and again,
she has held accountable those who threaten the health and safety of our
communities. She has been a consistent voice in support of progressive
policies, and has led with an unshakable commitment to truth and justice.
Since he was first elected to Congress, Ted Lieu has proven his commitment
to lead on issues of consequence. He has consistently fought for those too
often left out and left behind. He has been a champion for the LGBTQ+
community — authoring the first legislation to ban conversion therapy —
veterans, and immigrants, among many others.
I’m proud to endorse my dear friend and fellow member of the House
Oversight and Reform Committee, Representative Robin Kelly, for
re-election. Robin has been my partner in the work and a powerful leader
on the issue of maternal mortality. She is a strong advocate for the
health and safety of the communities she represents, and a champion for
policies that make meaningful, sustainable change.

the U.S. Congress next year. If you can afford it, please split a
