While much of Tuesday night's debate was disgraceful and
disturbingly predictable -- Donald Trump's lying about his
catastrophic failure to stop over 200,000 Americans losing their
lives due to COVID-19, his call for white supremacists to be on
"stand-by" and his constant bullying, lying and childlike
behavior -- there was one clear, bright spot.

I was proud to join an effort to pressure the debate commission
to raise the issue of the climate crisis and the future of our
planet, and it worked! Crazy though it sounds, for the first time
in 20 years at a presidential debate, a moderator FINALLY asked a
question about the climate crisis. In fact, Chris Wallace asked
two questions on Wednesday night, and they led to 11 minutes of
discussion out of the 90-minute debate.

Viewers learned on the national stage that Joe Biden has a plan
to stop the worst of the climate crisis, while Donald Trump once
again doubled down on his climate denial with no less than 17
lies.

OUR PLANET simply cannot afford another four years of Donald
Trump.
