We know that more and more people are living with stress and mental health issues, especially during this pandemic. In fact, each year, millions of Americans live with a mental health condition. Mental illness affects everyone directly or indirectly through family, friends and their school community. October 4-10 is Mental Illness Awareness Week, which culminates in World Mental Health Day on October 10. I urge you to take a look at the resources linked above and at NASN's resources on mental health to help you talk about mental health in your schools and personally as we face this unusual year.
