Addressing the climate crisis has to be on the ballot.

We say it every year, every election.

And, things keep getting worse - we see it almost every day.

Fire after devastating fire ravaging Oregon and the West Coast. Massive hurricanes on the Gulf Coast and back east. Steadily increasing temperatures and melting ice caps and rising sea levels around the world.

This is only going to get worse unless we elect a Senate that believes in science and is ready to take action on the climate crisis.

While Donald Trump's Republican Party is busy doing the bidding of multinational corporations, my Democratic colleagues and I are working to take meaningful action to address the climate crisis before we pass the point of no return.

That's my promise to you: to focus on climate because of its very real consequences, and to fight for colleagues who'll join me on the front lines.

Saving our planet to protect clean air and clean water for future generations shouldn't be political. But Republicans have made it so. And as long as Senate Republicans take orders from the fossil fuel industry and derail progress with junk science, we're in real danger.
