The Actors Fund

Dear Actors Fund Friends,

The performing arts and entertainment community has always been a source of utmost creativity when it comes to storytelling. Despite unimaginable circumstances brought upon by the COVID-19 pandemic, our industry has continued to find new ways to bring people together—safely and online—to share stories.

From a 3D audio experience of Shakespeare to a night of live mind-bending illusions, to songs with Cinderella herself and cocktails with The Boys, we hope there’s something for everyone in this week's newsletter!

We’re so grateful to every artist, industry professional and organization who continues to share their talents and fundraising efforts to benefit our crucial services and programs. Since March 18, The Actors Fund has distributed more than $16 million to more than 13,500 people in the performing arts who have needed help. Thank you for supporting our work to make that possible.

Boys in the Band

Netflix Presents: A Virtual Sip In with The Boys in the Band
Friday, October 2, 8 pm ET

SipInWithTheBoys.com

Join The Boys In The Band Broadway and film cast—Jim Parsons, Zachary Quinto, Matt Bomer, Andrew Rannells, Charlie Carver, Robin de Jesús, Brian Hutchison, Michael Benjamin Washington and Tuc Watkins—and director Joe Mantello for a livestream virtual “Sip In” to celebrate the film’s premiere on Netflix.

This one-of-a-kind evening will feature entertainment, conversation and reflection on the gay rights movement, Broadway theater, and of course, The Boys in the Band. We'll be paying tribute to the boys who paved the way by paying it forward to those carrying on in their spirit. Throughout the evening, the Boys show how you can support Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS and The Actors Fund COVID-19 Relief Funds. While free to watch, donations are welcome at actorsfund.org/SipInWithTheBoys.
