After the devastating loss of Justice Ginsburg, Senate Republicans are trying to ram through a new nominee for a vote before the presidential election. This is abhorrent. In 2016, the GOP-controlled Senate refused to take a vote on Obama’s pick for the next Supreme Court justice, saying voters should decide in an election year and delayed a vote until after the election allowing Trump to make the pick. We can’t let them get away with this hypocrisy. Sign the petition now and tell Mitch McConnell: Do NOT fill the Supreme Court vacancy until the next presidential term begins! The stakes have never been higher. If Trump and the GOP succeed in putting a new right-wing justice on the court; reproductive rights, protections for pre-existing medical conditions, and our environment will all be on the chopping block.
