This end-of-quarter deadline was unlike any other.

We balanced a very real deadline and very real odds with, well, a very meaningful new ad. It all centered around my core belief that even though we're overwhelmed with fear laced news that can make us afraid, optimism can overcome and win the day.

It's why I became a lawmaker. It's why I wake up every morning, in the face of a government that's controlled by leaders who govern through fear, and fight hard for the country I believe in: one that believes in love over hate, kindness over greed, and -- yes -- optimism over fear.

You believe in that, too, and that's why we hit our end-of-quarter goal of raising $30,000 in grassroots donations AND did so by once again being funded 100% by individuals. Not a penny from PACs, federal lobbyists, or other members of Congress. Just you.

There's a lot to do in the fight ahead, but because of your support I'm ready. One month to go -- let's do this.
