PFAW Member,
I am thrilled to report that thanks to generous, amazing, awe-inspiring support of 14,501 PFAW supporters in the month of September, we beat our most important online monthly budget goal by $96,702. (And, with that support, we even beat our new stretch goal that we were forced to add with the tragic passing of Justice Ginsburg and the resulting Supreme Court vacancy.)
That’s a big deal. And we’re already putting every penny of that money into making sure our budget is not the only thing we beat by an overwhelming margin this fall … because, as we see every day with this president and his enablers – and what was made even clearer in Trump’s debate performance on Tuesday – if Trump goes down, he’s going to try to take the whole country and our constitutional system of government with him. So we need to win in a landslide, to make sure the will of the people is undeniable.
Here’s just some of what’s going on right now as you read this:
In Wisconsin, Arizona, and Nevada we’re up with Spanish-language ads aimed at mobilizing the Latino vote against Trump. (We’ve been up in other states like Colorado and North Carolina as well and, with your continued support, will be up in even more before Election Day.)
In South Carolina, Iowa, Arizona, and Colorado we’re running ads against Republican Senators Lindsey Graham, Joni Ernst, Martha McSally, and Cory Gardner, holding them accountable for their support of Trump and McConnell’s Supreme Court power grab and the GOP effort to use Trump judicial nominees to take away health care from people with pre-existing conditions in the middle of a pandemic.
We’re building the national movement to save our Supreme Court and honor Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s legacy with virtual rallies, state press events, digital days of action, and on the ground organizing.
We’re launching a slate of more than 100 of our endorsed young progressive candidates for state and local office who are leading the charge, all across the country, on vital reforms to stop police killings.
And we’re supporting more dynamic young progressives running for office, creating unprecedented excitement about down-ballot races among young voters, which, in addition to building a deep bench of winning progressive champions, will create a “reverse coattails effect” and help carry Democrats to victory in key presidential and Senate battleground states.
