John, here’s the brutal truth:

We needed to raise $1,000,000 from grassroots Democrats before our FEC fundraising deadline yesterday to keep up with Republican attacks on our Democratic Senate candidates — but as of this morning, our finance team says we actually fell short by $187,559.

This is tough news to swallow, especially since Mitch McConnell’s attack machine is attempting to drown out candidates like Jaime Harrison, Cal Cunningham, and Sara Gideon with tens of millions of dollars in right-wing funded attack ads.

So, we’re extending the deadline internally in the hopes that we can catch up in the next 72 hours. If we can close at least some of this fundraising gap by Saturday, we might not have to cut our budget.
