National Domestic Workers Alliance and Families Belong Together

John -- Right now, hundreds of children remain separated from their parents -- many facing horrific conditions -- thanks to the Trump administration's cruel border policy.

Now the administration is saying it may take up to two years to reunite these families, because they never developed a way to track the children they separated in the first place.

But while we may be heartbroken, we aren't powerless -- we've already shown that when we show up and speak out, we can help reunify families.

We won't stop until every separated family is reunited and no child is detained, and you can help us keep up the pressure:

Add your name if you agree: we must reunite families torn apart at the border.

In the spring of 2018, the Trump administration began tearing children as young as 18 months from their parents through its zero-tolerance policy.

In response, we helped to organize the first Families Belong Together Vigil in McAllen, Texas on Father's Day.

We saw children not old enough for kindergarten being shipped off to jails hundreds of miles away, and as they passed us by they reached for us through the windows.

Domestic workers came from all over Texas to be a part of the vigil. They saw in those families their own family stories. And through our tears, we looked at each other and knew we couldn't stop while this inhumanity continued.

That's why we -- the National Domestic Workers Alliance -- founded Families Belong Together, a coalition of 250 groups dedicated to ending family separation and detention, reuniting families, and holding those behind these abhorrent policies accountable.

Stop Family Detention

And that's why we're excited you've joined us at the National Domestic Workers Alliance, and why all of us need to keep up the pressure until we can end the abhorrent treatment of families at the border.

Add your name to help us hold Trump and his administration responsible and ensure every separated family is reunited.

Thank you,

Ai-jen Poo, Executive Director
