I'm sorry to be emailing you on a Sunday -- but I have some bad news.

FIRST: Yesterday we set a goal to raise $28,417, and we fell $6,391 short.

THEN: This morning, it was announced that Tom Steyer qualified for the October debates.

NOW: With a billionaire in the race, we cannot afford to fall behind during this critical point of the race. I need you to rush in a donation so we can get back on track.

Our campaign has seen real momentum since the last debate, and we need to show the country that this underdog campaign can keep it up. Will you chip in to get us on track?

Time and time again, we've seen supporters of Bernie Sanders, Kamala Harris, Joe Biden, Elizabeth Warren, and other presidential candidates step up whenever they set fundraising goals.

And in just a few short days we'll all be on stage together -- Amy Klobuchar, Pete Buttigieg, Bernie Sanders, Joe Biden, Elizabeth Warren, Kamala Harris, Andrew Yang, Beto O'Rourke, Julián Castro, and me -- debating our plans for this country on the national stage.

I'll be honest, team. I didn't enter this race with a huge network of donors from all over the country. And I'm not a self-funding billionaire. We're consistently polling in the top six, but we're doing more with less and truly running an underdog campaign. That's why I'm asking for your help.

We already fell short on yesterday's goal. Will you chip in right now to make sure we don't fall short on our September fundraising?

Thanks for stepping up,
Cory
