John — we just got out of our weekly Sunday meeting and our finance team has just given us a huge goal for the end of the month.

The end of September marks the end of the 3rd fiscal quarter – this means our campaign is going to have to report all of our fundraising numbers to the FEC. How much we’ve raised, and how much we’ve spent will all be available on the internet for friends and enemies alike to parse through.

What beltway pundits and Washington consultants will tell you is this — the strength of a campaign is determined by how much money they can raise.

Now we know that’s not true, but if we want to make a splash at the end of the month and really get in Donald Trump’s head we need to hit the $100,000 online fundraising goal our finance team just gave us for this month.
