Hi Friend.

I wanted to make sure you saw my note from this morning.

I typically wouldn’t send two emails in one day, but this is important. I don’t think it’s an exaggeration to say that Donald Trump threatened the lives of Black and Brown people across the country when he told a white supremacist group to “stand by and stand back”. But he didn’t stop there. He also encouraged his voters to ‘watch’ people as they cast their ballots on Election Day. This is a clear call for voter intimidation.

These evil plans to mute the voices of millions of BIPOC voters go beyond the physical. News outlets across the country are reporting that, in 2016, the Trump campaign used extensive data modeling to identify millions of Black voters who might be unlikely to vote, then ran a campaign of dark Facebook ads to dissuade them from showing up on Election Day. Who knows what they have planned for this election.

These tactics are being used to intimidate, confuse, and silence us.

But, we will not be muted.The re:power team has been hard at work the last several months, training hundreds of leaders from communities across the country. Our trainees are working to get out the vote and to fight voter suppression. They are our heroes on the ground and we are honored to support them in this important fight.

Please make a gift to re:power today, so that we can continue to train leaders for this election...and beyond [[link removed]] .

Thanks for all that you do.

Yet another refusal to denounce white supremacy. Mocking poor people, Black and Brown people. Insulting those of us who follow the rules and pay our taxes.

We aren’t surprised by the comments made during last night’s debate. We shouldn’t expect such divisive and outrageous statements from someone who should represent ALL of us. But this is the person who has banned diversity training and wants to implement ‘patriotic education’ to whitewash our history. It’s the same guy who, four years ago, worked to actively discourage 3.5 million Black folks from voting. So, no...we aren’t shocked.

We are motivated.

This hate-filled propaganda is EXACTLY why re:power is working to build a future of inclusive politics where every single one of us matters. We do this by:

- Training electoral and issue organizers working for and with progressive candidates and campaigns in cities around the country;
- Identifying progressive leaders, encouraging them to run for office and supporting their campaigns;
- Working with elected officials to make sure they have the resources and skills they need to become powerful and effective leaders.

Help build a future of INCLUSIVE politics. Support re:power with a gift [[link removed]] .

Our work is not about any one person or election. Rather, it’s about making sure racism, sexism, and xenophobia are removed from our politics and our society...once and for all.

re:power is honored to play a role in building the infrastructure of the social justice movement. We’ve done so much this year, even with a small staff - we’ve trained over 900 people in just a few short months, equipping them with the tools they need to get out the vote, protect the vote, and ensure our democracy remains. Your support will help us reach even more people. Please consider making a contribution today to support re:power’s ongoing work [[link removed]] .

Help build the movement [[link removed]] : make a gift today. [[link removed]]

Last night’s offensive comments reinforced our belief that America needs a framework of inclusive politics. We need to reimagine and rebuild this entire system from the ground up. Help us reach that goal: make a gift today [[link removed]] .
