John,

You did it!

After weeks of hard work, the U.S. House of Representatives voted to pass HR7293, the STANDUP Act of 2020, to help prevent youth suicide! As suicide is the second leading cause of death for young people, prevention couldn’t be more important to Sandy Hook Promise’s mission to protect children.

It’s taken almost a year and a half to get here, and we could not have done this without you. Your phone calls, emails and personal outreach to your elected officials made this possible. Congratulations on this huge victory!

But we’re not done yet. Now it’s the Senate’s turn. Please reach out and let your Senators know that you want them to take a vote on the STANDUP Act before they leave town on Oct. 9! Click here to send your note.

Together, we can get this bill signed into law.

Thanks for your continued hard work to prevent youth violence.
