Greetings Friend.

Still no word from Governor Newsom on AB 3216!

This is Hospitality Workers' LAST CHANCE to potentially win the right to return to the jobs that many of them have had for decades!

Can you call the Governor?NOW, ONE MORE TIME, urging him to pass this life-saving bill!

And can you forward this message and ask your friends and networks to call?

Click here for Gov. Newsom's phone number and a call script <[link removed]>.

Hospitality workers and faith community from the around the state remain outside Governor Newsom's office today, patiently fasting and raising their voices, urging him to sign AB3216 <[link removed]>by tonight!

In fact, yesterday CLUE clergy, lay leaders, and workers delivered a letter with over 200 signatures to Gov. Newsom's office urging him to sign AB3216!! (Click here to see the letter and signatures!) <[link removed]>

Amid the ongoing social and economic crises, Governor Gavin Newsom has a chance to defend hospitality workers across California by signinginto law.The bill, which has passed both houses of the state legislature, would give hospitality workers the "Right of Recall" -- the opportunity to return to their workplaces by seniority when the work returns, instead of potentially being passed over for younger, cheaper labor.

But time is running out -- Governor Newsom has until tonight, Wednesday 9/30, to sign the bill, and he's being pressured by the hotel industry not to do so.?

As a result, hospitality workers and clergy from around the state have began caravans to the state capitol last week, and have just launched a hunger strike as well, and have been doing daily delegations to visit Governor Newsom. Last week workers delivered a letter from over 50 members of Jesuit West province demanding the passage of AB 3216, and?the workers' fight has been covered in the Jesuit publication, America Magazine <[link removed]>, but still no movement from our Governor.

And yesterday CLUE clergy, lay leaders, and workers delivered a letter with over 200 signatures to Gov. Newsom's office urging him to sign AB3216!! <[link removed]>

Thank you for your support!

In Solidarity,

Adam Overton & Ashley Gonzales
