Team, this morning it was announced that Tom Steyer has officially qualified for the October debate stage.

He announced his candidacy just a few months ago and since then, he's spent over $10 million of his own money to fund his campaign.

The truth is, I don't have billions of dollars in personal wealth. I rely on grassroots donations of $3, $5, and $20 from people like youto power this campaign. And just yesterday, we needed to raise $28,417 to stay on pace for fundraising this month and we came up short.

Tom leapfrogged over a dozen candidates and it's now looking like the October debate will be held on two nights.

I'll be honest that's going to be hard to compete with. When we miss goals or fall short of what we need to raise daily, it slows us down and frankly, that isn't an option when you have a billionaire in the race.
