John,
Trump has failed in his duty as president to keep the American people safe. He contributed to the preventable death of 200,000 people, has made it clear that he wants to eliminate the Affordable Care Act with no replacement, and wants to ram through his SCOTUS nominee to keep him in power.
Last night, he spewed hatred and lies on prime time television, and mobilized white supremacists by telling them to "stand back and stand by." This is not ok, and it's not normal.
And the contrast could not be more striking. Vice President Biden spoke directly to the American people and refused to stoop to Trump's level. He provided detail, clarity, concrete plans, and hope as we combat a failing economy, an ongoing climate crisis, the COVID-19 pandemic, and centuries of racial injustice.
We need leaders who will stand up to Trump and his lies to hold him accountable. If you're with Diana, rush a donation ahead of tonight's end-of-quarter deadline to help her reach as many voters as possible before Election Day »

Subject: Trump...NOT an ally to working people
Friend,
Tonight at the first presidential debate, Trump is going to attempt to paint himself as an ally to working people, but actions speak louder than words:
-
He's hasn't lifted a finger to help those impacted by COVID-19;
-
He's attacked the Affordable Care Act, leaving folks with pre-existing conditions in the dust;
-
He's consistently threatened to gut Social Security;
-
He's given away billions in tax cuts to his wealthy friends, big corporations, and special interests, but can't be bothered to help hardworking families; and
-
We've seen those tax returns -- he gamed the system and paid just $750 in federal income taxes.
Trump's entire presidency has been built on grifting the American people, who have footed the bill for his lavish trips, while he and his family have continued to make profits from the presidency after failing to divest.
With hundreds and millions of loans being held by dark special interests, his lies and deceit are a national security threat -- so you can bank on him saying anything and everything on the stage tonight.
Diana's outreach team is on the ground making sure voters know the truth -- we HAVE to hold Trump accountable for his scams by re-electing strong leaders like Diana. Rush $5 or more to Diana ahead of the final quarterly deadline before the general election »
As Trump lies about his abysmal record and spews hatred and lies from the debate stage, Joe Biden will outline how we'll defeat COVID-19 and revitalize our economy. But in order to implement Joe's agenda, he needs friends like Diana in the House who will always put working people first.
And tomorrow is the final quarterly deadline before the general election, friend. We need your help to raise an additional $4,827 so Diana can fight for us alongside Joe Biden.
Ahead of the FEC end-of-quarter deadline and tonight's presidential debate, help Diana close her fundraising gap by rushing a donation NOW »
Thank you,
Team DeGette
