John,

Tuesday’s presidential debate was a national embarrassment.

It revealed that one nominee for the White House is a petulant child inclined to bully his opponent, while the other rejects the very programs on which Americans are clamoring from coast-to-coast, from the Green New Deal to defunding police.

Who won, and who lost?

There were certainly many losers—including We the People of the United States, and especially future generations whose needs will not be addressed by the next administration.

Can you support us today before our end-of-quarter FEC deadline and send a voice to Washington who will stand with future generations even when politically inconvenient?

Our system reveals its illegitimacy on national television, but we can send new voices to Washington to hold them accountable.

Can you send me to Congress to fight for you, your family, and the future before our FEC fundraising deadline TONIGHT?

If you’re dejected by the near-future, you’re not alone. But we can’t settle or rest with that disillusion. As FDR told us many years ago, “the only thing we have to fear is fear itself.”

Others may have been paralyzed by fear—or ignorance—but I’ve spent 20 years fighting nascent fascism and remain ready to continue that struggle in Congress.

Your voice in Washington,

Shahid
