Neighbors,

Last night's debate underscored exactly why we need a change in leadership. We saw on full display a President who is laser focused on sowing seeds of division and spending his time spewing rhetoric beneath the dignity of the office of the President when we need a leader focused on providing relief from the public health and economic impacts of Covid.

I know this has been a difficult year for so many - it has certainly presented challenging days for me, both as a mother helping my girls adapt to drastic changes in their school days and as a lawmaker trying to get working people the assistance and transparency they deserve.

We've seen our businesses, factories, and schools close. We've seen record economic uncertainty. And we've lost hundreds of thousands of lives largely due to the Trump administration's dangerous mismanagement of COVID-19.

This year has also awoken many to the realization that we have a lot of work to do in the fight against racial injustice. And yet, we have an administration who only inflames these divides instead of working with lawmakers and advocates to find solutions to address systemic racism.

We are all ready for real, tangible change. But neighbor, the current leadership in the White House and Republican-held Senate have proven they are more than content with the status quo.

This November, we need to elect Democrats who will pull us out of the COVID-19 pandemic, get our economy back on track and recommit to equality and unity at the federal and local level. We need leaders like Joe Biden and Kamala Harris in the White House. We need to expand our majority in the House. And we need to take back the Senate.

I know that we can harness the current energy and enthusiasm for change to accomplish our goals. But that work starts right here and right now by making sure we hold on to this seat and secure our majority in the House.

So, if you're able to, please consider contributing to my re-election campaign before our most important fundraising deadline of the year at midnight. You can use this link:

History has shown us time and time again that when people show up and fight back, change happens. So thank you for showing up, neighbor. We will see this through.

Sincerely,

Lori----
