Hello Friend,

It's been an honour to serve as your Interim Leader for the past ten
months.

I've met, virtually and in person so many of you and you've inspired me in
so many ways. I am so grateful for the opportunity I have had to help guide
our party through our first leadership contest in over a decade. It's been
a season with some growing pains but I know it'll all be worth it when our
membership elects one of the eight strong contestants we have running.

I'd like to send my congratulations to all the contestants for their
tireless work on the campaign trail. No doubt they are already getting a
glimpse of the demands of this leadership role. You need perseverance, you
need courage, you need organization and you often need to give up your
weekends! It's hard work, but I know they're up for the task.

I am excited to see what the next chapter holds, and I want to ensure that
I'm passing on a party that is ready for whatever comes next! The GREEN
BREAKTHROUGH FUND [1] is part of that - readiness for the future.

No matter which of our eight contestants is chosen by our membership as
leader, they will need your support. This fund guarantees that our new
leader will be given the tools to share our vision for the Green Party of
Canada as we Reimagine Our Future. Building a platform takes resources,
leader tours take resources, campaigns in general... take resources. What
better gift can we give them on leadership election day than a head start
to connect with all of you and the country?

As of now, we have raised $80,194 and I can't thank you enough, BUT IF
WE’RE GOING TO ALLOW THE NEW LEADER TO RAISE THEIR PROFILE AND BECOME
KNOWN IN YOUR COMMUNITY AND ON THE NATIONAL STAGE, WE MUST MEET OUR GOAL OF
$200,000. We're so close and I can feel it, with just three days to go.
It's now or never, I know we can do this.
