Dear John,

I hope you saw my note last week inviting you to take part in a special virtual event, Audacious Ambition: Honoring AJC CEO David Harris for 30 Years of Reimagining Global Jewish Advocacy.

The event is now just a week away, taking place this coming Wednesday, October 7. But it’s not too late to join us! You can be there as we come together virtually to celebrate three decades of David’s visionary leadership and his unmatched dedication to defending the Jewish people, Israel, and the values that unite us all.

We are planning for a memorable evening. We’ll look back at key moments in Jewish history over the past 30 years, hear remarks from David, and enjoy special appearances from distinguished guests, including:
Sebastian Kurz
Chancellor of Austria

Antonis Samaras
Prime Minister of Greece (2012-15)

Natan Sharansky
Chairman of the Jewish Agency (2009-18);
Deputy Prime Minister of Israel (2001-03)

Senator Rob Portman (R-OH)

Rep. Ted Deutch (D-FL)

Rep. Chris Smith (R-NJ)

Ambassador Emily Haber
Ambassador of Germany to the United States

Ambassador Ron Prosor
Director General,
Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2004-06)

Ambassador Mark Sofer
Deputy Director General,
Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2013-17)

and more…
Please consider joining us by making a contribution of $1,250 or more to AJC’s 2020 campaign. You can visit the event website to learn more and to make your gift.

In this challenging year, your support will ensure that AJC can continue working toward a safer and more secure future for Jews and all people.

With gratitude,

Harriet P. Schleifer

Thirty years ago, David Harris took the reins at AJC and revolutionized global Jewish advocacy. He had a vision for something bigger and bolder, and that vision is now a reality. Under David’s leadership, AJC has become one of the most influential and transformational forces advancing Jewish interests throughout the world.

On October 7, we will come together virtually, along with distinguished guests, to honor David. We will reflect on some of the most important moments in Jewish history over the past three decades, milestones that were only achieved because AJC—and David—were leading the charge.

To all who share David’s values—a steadfast commitment to defending the Jewish people, Israel, and democracy—we invite you to join us.

A minimum gift of $1,250 in 2020 is required to attend.
