John – Today will be a long day, but this email will be short.
Today, September 30, is the final day of our last fundraising quarter of the 2020 election. There is so much more at stake than how much we report to the FEC on our next report. At this stage in the campaign we are spending thousands every day to communicate our message with voters and we need everyone to pitch in.
Some of the costs of a REALLY TIGHT BUDGET over the next 34 days:[[link removed]]
Television ads: $1,100 per day, $37,400 through the end of the election
Postage for 10,00 handwritten postcards to voters : $3,500
Texting 200,000 voters: $26,000
Unionized staff wages (childcare, campaign management): $7,000
Campaign consultants: $10,000
Elections are not cheap, and our opponent is already distorting my record; we must be able to fight back and leave nothing to chance. I hope that I can count on your financial support before our critical deadline at midnight tonight! [[link removed]]
Thank you again
