The 2020 Election is happening RIGHT NOW! With less than 34 days until Election Day, we have no time to waste. That's why Rock the Vote is pulling out all stops launching new partnerships, enhancing technology, leveraging strategic trusted messengers, and so much more to reach every eligible young voter we can. Here's just a bit of what we've been up to with more to come soon.
Help us hit our end of quarter fundraising goals so we can reach more voters before registration deadlines start hitting in less than a week.
For those who missed it, we've also added a print-and-mail feature to improve completion rates for registrants who must submit a hard copy registration form. This new feature mails registrants their pre-filled voter registration form, with a pre-addressed and stamped envelope.
We launched Hoopers Vote, an initiative aimed at bringing the basketball community -- including WNBA and NBA players, coaches, retired stars, and basketball media personalities, college and high school hoopers, and fans-- together to amplify the importance of voting. Segments were featured and ads ran on TNT and ESPN with over 100 Hoopers Vote ambassadors posting on social media, including James Worthy, Alex English, and Lisa Leslie; WNBA players Nneka Ogwumike and Layshia Clarendon; and NBA players Duncan Robinson, Kevin Love, and Jaren Jackson Jr. Learn more about the initiative here.
WE'RE MAKING VOTING SAFER AND MORE FLEXIBLE
With the launch of our Absentee Ballot Request Tool, we are helping registrants to navigate the process to request a vote-at-home ballot in their state. The platform models our Online Voter Registration platform and is dynamic to each state, and sometimes counties, unique process and enables email and faxed in capabilities wherever possible. During these vital final days, we are doing everything we can, to ensure ALL eligible voters are able to cast their ballot on or before election day. Stay tuned for more updates soon!
