In a moment I'm going to ask you to chip in to my re-election campaign before midnight, but first let me explain why.

I'm reaching out personally because our final end-of-quarter FEC deadline is coming up in a few hours, and we're just $834 short of our goal. This is the most important deadline of the year because National Republicans will be poring over these public fundraising numbers. After both President Trump and Vice President Pence visited my district to promote my opponent, this race is a top GOP target.

I ran for office to help working people, not to ask for money. But National Republicans are laser-focused on beating me, and this race could make the difference between keeping or losing our House majority. It's been twelve years since a Democrat has won re-election in this district, and there's too much at stake to take anything for granted.
