I’ve been thinking about you recently and wondering how you were doing, friend.
These past few months have been extraordinarily challenging for all Canadians and for so many of our families, and I hope that you and your loved ones are staying well.
Last week's Speech from the Throne was a unifying moment for our country, and we need to stand together to get through these challenging times.
The last couple of months have revealed gaps that we need to address as Canadians, and they have made clear that we need bold action on health, the environment, the economy, and equality. With your support, my husband Justin and this Liberal government will continue doing whatever it takes to keep Canadians safe and supported – and to build a more resilient Canada that is healthier, safer, greener, more inclusive, and more fair.
It’s because of dedicated people like you that we will move forward. I’m so touched by all the incredible volunteers and grassroots supporters who have been pitching in to hear Canadians’ ideas and grow our team all summer long.
I know that not everyone is in a position to give much right now, and that’s okay. There are so many important ways that Canadians are stepping up to support our families and communities across the country at this important time.
