The court decision reinstating net neutrality could come as soon as Tuesday.

John,

A new study from a team of Internet data experts proves that Big Cable has been throttling apps and websites “all the time, 24/7” since Ajit Pai’s repeal of net neutrality.1

These are the Internet slow lanes that we warned about, and they will only get worse until net neutrality is restored.

The good news is that a federal court could overrule Pai’s net neutrality repeal as soon as Tuesday. But the court could also give Big Cable an opening to pass a law in Congress that would still allow Internet fast lanes and slow lanes. We can’t let that happen.

We’re building a net neutrality “war chest” to make sure we have the resources to launch a rapid response counter-campaign against the Big Telecom lobbyists as soon as the decision comes down. Will you chip in to stop the throttling and save net neutrality?

DONATE

The latest study shows AT&T and other big ISPs are throttling popular websites like Netflix everywhere, all the time. Big Cable said that there would be no throttling, and then claimed that the throttling is needed to avoid congestion and data bottlenecks.

But the new research proves they’re lying and that the only way to stop these Internet slow lanes is to reinstate net neutrality.2

The minute the decision on the lawsuit against Ajit Pai comes down, Big Cable’s lobbyists will swarm Capitol Hill. Any ruling that doesn’t 100 percent back up Pai’s repeal will be used as an excuse to ram through anti-net neutrality legislation that will prevent any future FCC from protecting the free and open Internet.

So we’re building a war chest for this massive fight, which could come as soon as this Tuesday, to fund:

  • Mass text messages alerting our membership to the ruling and flooding Capitol HIll with phone calls.
  • Events in the districts of key lawmakers demanding they listen to their voters and keep net neutrality in the news.
  • Online ads targeting key lawmakers as well as old school billboards.

Ajit Pai’s repeal of net neutrality is on very shaky legal ground, and the lawsuit by 20 attorneys general and tech companies like Mozilla could be a game-changer. We need to be ready to take advantage as soon as the court rules.

Will you make a donation to support our rapid response team to save net neutrality?

For the Internet,

Evan at Fight for the Future
