After years of doing next to nothing to restrict the spread of misinformation on its site, Facebook is finally taking action. The company says it will ban any new political ads in the week leading up to Election Day.

Fake news and hate speech helped get Trump into office in 2016, and they've only continued to contribute to harm and violence since then -- just recently, false rumors that Antifa activists were responsible for the Oregon wildfires were propagated on Facebook and Twitter, causing some people to disregard evacuation orders.

We may finally have fewer lies on our social media feeds -- and less influence from the liar in the White House because of it. But we know plenty of Facebook users won't like this new rule -- and that's why we're reaching out to you now. Tell us how you feel:
